2 male cheetahs now in bigger enclosure in MP’s Kuno National Park

Elton and Freddie, the 2 cheetahs who spent 50 days in quarantine after being translocated from Namibia, have been launched in a six km sq-enclosure on the Kuno Nationwide Park in Madhya Pradesh’s Sheopur on Saturday, a forest division official stated.

Following studies of Asha, a feminine cheetah that was additionally translocated, is likely to be pregnant, an official from CCF stated officers will wait until November 10 to take a call on releasing her within the wild.

“Asha is in quarantine for the previous 100 days so if she was pregnant, she ought to have given delivery to cubs. However for extra surety, the officers will wait until November 10,” the official stated, requesting anonymity.

Eight cheetahs from Namibia have been translocated to Kuno Nationwide Park on September 17.

They have been in a quarantine enclosure for over a month.

A Cheetah Process Pressure was shaped by Nationwide Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) for the administration of cheetahs.

Now, the animals shall be underneath the vigilance of 4 watch towers of high-resolution cameras. A particular canine squad educated by ITBP in Punjab will even be deployed with the cheetah safety power to stop poaching, the official stated.
