2 masked men break into senior citizens house in Bengaluru Cooke Town

Two masked males armed with iron rods robbed an aged couple of gold and money after breaking into their home within the upmarket Cooke City space of Bengaluru early on Tuesday.

The robbers entered the home of Romuld Farias, 80, and Phyllis Farias, 74, at round 2.45 am on Tuesday and stole gold jewelry and money value round ₹ 2.2 lakh, in line with a primary info report registered on the Pulakeshinagar police station. The robbers reportedly appeared acquainted with the home.

The FIR was registered following a criticism by Deepika M, the couple’s daughter-in-law.

Based on the police criticism, two males sporting black masks and glasses broke into the home on Cline Highway by a again door and threatened the aged couple with iron rods earlier than taking away ₹20,000 in money, 4 gold chains, six gold bangles, round eight pairs of gold earrings and diamond earrings.

The boys additionally demanded ₹2 lakh in money and took away the ATM playing cards of the couple with their PIN numbers after the couple stated they didn’t have money at dwelling. The robbers allegedly threatened to return to the home if the ATM playing cards didn’t yield the money they sought.

Based on the police, the robbers spoke in English and Hindi and appeared conversant in the home. They allegedly disconnected CCTV wires to stop being captured on cameras. The duo additionally appeared to know the place the money and valuables have been saved, the police indicated.

The residents’ welfare affiliation in Cooke City has urged the police to conduct a fast investigation to establish the suspects.
