Opposition leaders criticize DMK govt in Tamil Nadu over legislation and order after two political functionaries are murdered in 24 hours.
Chennai: Opposition leaders got here down closely on the DMK authorities over the legislation and order state of affairs in Tamil Nadu after two political functionaries — one from BJP and one other from AIADMK — have been murdered within the state in final 24 hours.
Selvakumar, a district secretary of the BJP’s unit in Tamil Nadu’s Sivaganga, was attacked by some individuals when he was travelling to his house in M Vilankulam on his bike, Dongre Praveen Umesh, superintendent of police, Sivaganga, stated.
“He was not murdered due to his get together, place or ideology. In keeping with preliminary probe, the gang attacked Selvakumar in reference to a homicide case from 2019. Now we have recognized 4 suspects,” a senior police officer stated on situation of anonymity.
In a separate incident, an AIADMK employee, Padmanabhan, was killed in Cuddalore space. The incident happened when he was attacked by some unidentified individuals whereas heading in direction of Bagur village.
