Not less than 204 flights had been delayed Saturday morning at Denver Worldwide Airport, as snow and bitter chilly introduced by a polar vortex gripped the metro space.
Practically half of the flights — 101, as of 11:45 a.m. — belonged to United, based on flight monitoring service FlightAware.
A further 54 belonged to SkyWest and 33 to Southwest, whereas AeroMéxico, Air Canada, Alaska Airways, American Airways, Delta, Frontier, Jazz and Key Lime Air skilled a smaller variety of delays. No cancellations have been reported to this point.
Snow and ice started impacting floor transportation throughout Colorado late Friday, and the Nationwide Climate Service warns snow and ice will proceed to make roadways slippery via Saturday afternoon.
