“As per the Pay Fee’s suggestions, the Cupboard assembly on July 15, 2024, determined to revise the wage and pensions by including a 31% Dearness Allowance and a fitment of 27.5% to the fundamental pay as of July 1, 2022. This revision will lead to a considerable improve of 58.5% within the primary wage and pension of the workers. The minimal primary pay of staff will rise from ₹17,000 to ₹27,000, whereas the utmost pay will probably be revised from ₹1,50,600 to ₹2,41,200. The minimal pension will improve from ₹8,500 to ₹13,500, and the utmost pension will probably be revised from ₹75,300 to ₹1,20,600.
This revision will apply to non-teaching workers of universities, staff of aided academic establishments, and native our bodies.

The approval comes after the Karnataka state authorities staff affiliation threatened an indefinite strike beginning in August if the wage improve was not applied. In March 2023, then-chief minister Basavaraj Bommai had granted staff an interim 17% wage hike.
