3 held over attack on BJP workers in Boliyar | Latest News India

Three folks had been arrested on Monday in Boliyar, close to Mangaluru, after two Bharatiya Janata Occasion (BJP) staff had been stabbed and one other assaulted whereas they had been celebrating the swearing-in of the NDA-led authorities on Sunday, a police officer accustomed to the matter stated.

The injured staff have been recognized as Harish (41), son of Mutappa Poojary from Innoli, and Nandakumar (24), son of Kotiyappa from Innoli Padavu. The third BJP supporter, Krishna Kumar (36) from Innoli, was crushed by the mob.

Konaje police inspector Ravindra Kumar stated: “The incident occurred at round 9.15 pm, about 200 metres from the Boliyar mosque. The BJP staff took out a procession at round 8.15 pm to have a good time Modi’s swearing-in. On their means again, three BJP staff on a scooter allegedly stopped in entrance of the mosque to lift slogans. A mob of 15-20 folks attacked them with machetes.”

It is a stark reminder of the growing violence and chaos, underscoring the pressing want for stronger governance and safety measures to guard residents and preserve peace.
