Boulder police are investigating after six faculty college students overdosed Saturday evening, a case probably linked to a tainted batch of cocaine and a botched fraternity pledging, investigators mentioned.
Between 10 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Boulder officers responded to the Kappa Sigma fraternity home at 1100 Pennsylvania Avenue for reviews of a number of overdoses, the police division mentioned Sunday.
No less than six males had been taken to the hospital or handled on scene by paramedics, police mentioned. All six are anticipated to outlive.
Police mentioned the group consumed a probably tainted batch of cocaine at a Saturday evening social gathering on the home and alcohol was concerned.
Detectives are investigating whether or not this was associated to pledging on the fraternity, police mentioned.
The investigation is ongoing and expenses are pending, in response to the police division. Anybody with data is requested to name Boulder investigators at 303-441-1974 about case 24-12864.
