Infosys president Ravi Kumar S resigns

IT companies main Infosys on Tuesday stated its president Ravi Kumar S has resigned from his publish.

The corporate didn’t give any motive for the transfer which comes simply days forward of its second quarter earnings announcement.

“The board of administrators positioned on report their deep sense of appreciation for the companies rendered by Ravi Kumar S. for his contributions to the corporate,” Infosys stated in a regulatory submitting.

In his position as president, Ravi Kumar S led the Infosys World Providers Organisation throughout all business segments.

He led the companies strains and specialised digital gross sales throughout consulting, know-how, infrastructure, engineering and course of verticals.

Beginning his profession as a nuclear scientist on the Bhabha Atomic Analysis Middle, he joined Infosys in 2002 and was appointed as its president in 2016.

In 2017, he was named because the Deputy COO and was broadly tipped to be the corporate’s COO, however Infosys later did away with the publish of the COO after the retirement of incumbent UB Pravin Rao.

In accordance with the 2021-22 annual report of Infosys, Kumar was the third highest-paid senior govt of the corporate after CEO Salil Parekh and former COO UB Pravin Rao.

Shares of Infosys, which is to announce its second-quarter earnings on October 13, ended 2.65 per cent decrease at ₹1,423.90 apiece on the BSE.

The corporate board at its assembly on October 13 may also to think about a share buyback.
