Army dog Zoom, who fought J&K militants despite injuries, succumbs

Military’s assault canine Zoom, who had obtained two gunshot wounds throughout an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district, succumbed whereas present process therapy on Thursday.

Zoom handed away round 12 pm on the Advance Subject Veterinary Hospital, Military officers have been quoted by information company ANI. “He was responding effectively until round 11.45 am when he out of the blue began gasping and collapsed,” they stated.

Safety forces had launched a cordon and search operation in Tangpawa space of Anantnag district on Sunday evening after receiving inputs in regards to the presence of militants. Zoom was despatched on Monday morning inside the home the place the militants have been suspected to be holed up.

After finding and attacking the militants, he obtained two bullet wounds, critically injuring him. Regardless of being wounded, the Military stated, the canine stored attacking the militants, serving to in efforts to neutralise them.

Within the encounter, two Lashkar-e-Taiba militants have been killed, whereas two troopers have been injured.
