Seoul:
North Korea stated on Tuesday it had launched a Hwasong-18 intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) on Monday as a drill to verify the struggle readiness of its nuclear deterrence drive within the face of mounting hostility by the USA.
State information company KCNA stated the nation’s chief Kim Jong Un watched the launch of the ICBM on the web site. The missile reached the altitude of 6,518 km (4,050 miles), flying 1,002 km (623 miles) and precisely hitting the supposed goal, KCNA stated.
Kim stated the launch sends “a transparent sign to the hostile forces, who’ve fanned up their reckless navy confrontation hysteria” towards the North all year long, KCNA stated.
“Noting that it was an event to obviously present what motion the DPRK has been ready and what possibility the DPRK would take when Washington makes a mistaken determination towards it, (Kim) appreciated that the drill … displayed the DPRK’s will for hardest counteraction and its overwhelming power.”
DPRK is brief for the Democratic Folks’s Republic of Korea, the North’s official identify.
