Lots of of 1000’s of Palestinians in Rafah – Gaza’s southernmost metropolis – arrived there after being compelled to maneuver time and again, fleeing Israeli air strikes and floor assaults.
However Israel’s prime minister has now requested troops to “put together to function” in Rafah too. He says “whole victory” by Israel over Hamas is simply months away.
On Friday, Benjamin Netanyahu mentioned he had ordered the navy to arrange a twin plan to evacuate civilians from town, to make means for an expanded operation there.
“We by no means need to go away Gaza,” says Umm Mohammad, a displaced lady. “We had been born right here, we reside right here and we need to die right here.”
The US has warned it won’t help an unplanned Israeli offensive in Rafah, which it says could be a “catastrophe”.
