The Hindu Janajagruthi Vedike has relaunched its marketing campaign towards halal meat in Karnataka forward of Diwali, asking Hindus to boycott merchandise and firms, equivalent to McDonalds and Pizza Hut, that use meat licensed to have been ready as per Islamic regulation.

Ramesh Shinde, a spokesperson for the perimeter right-wing outfit, alleged {that a} “parallel economic system was being run via halal certification”, which he mentioned was not permitted by the federal government of India. “Halal is just for Muslims.
