North Korea fired artillery shells off its east and west coasts on Tuesday, the South Korean navy stated.
The North fired some 100 shells into the ocean off its west coast round 10 p.m. native time (1300 GMT) and shot an extra 150 rounds off its east coast, the Joint Chiefs of Workers stated in an announcement.

North Korea’s newest navy exercise got here after South Korean troops kicked off their annual Hoguk defence drills on Monday, designed to spice up their capacity to reply to North Korea’s nuclear and missile threats.
The drills, attributable to finish on Saturday, are the newest in a collection of navy workouts by South Korea in latest weeks, together with joint actions with the USA and Japan.
