Rahul Gandhi to reach Delhi, attend event where Mallikarjun Kharge will take charge as Cong chief

Congress chief Rahul Gandhi will journey to Delhi throughout a three-day break from the Bharat Jodo Yatra from October 24 to 26 and attend an occasion through which the newly-elected All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Mallikarjun Kharge will take cost, stated Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president D Ok Shivakumar Friday.

This would be the first time Gandhi will go to Delhi for the reason that Yatra started on September 8. Throughout the Dussehra break too, he had stayed close to Mysuru along with his mom Sonia Gandhi, who had arrived from Delhi.

In the meantime, sources stated Congress normal secretary Priyanka Gandhi will both take part within the Yatra or meet Rahul Gandhi through the march in Raichur. Sources stated she is anticipated to reach Saturday, October 22.

Talking to reporters on the Yatra camp at Gillesugur, Shivakumar stated that the march will enter Telangana on October 23. “It can break for Diwali on October 24 and 25, throughout which Rahul Gandhi will head to Delhi. Though the break is for 2 days, it was prolonged by a day in order that leaders can participate within the occasion through which Kharge takes cost because the social gathering president,” he stated.

The Yatra re-entered Karnataka at Raichur after journeying three days in Andhra Pradesh. Gandhi will march until the morning of October 23 in Karnataka and enter Telangana at midday.
