A young person was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of homicide after a Saturday capturing at an Adams County park killed a 15-year-old boy and injured one other teen.
The teenage suspect — who has not been recognized by police because of his age — was arrested on suspicion of first-degree homicide, first-degree assault and unlawful possession of a handgun by a juvenile, in line with a information launch from the Adams County Sheriff’s Workplace.
Adams County deputies responded to studies of gunfire at Rotella Park — close to Welby at 1824 Coronado Parkway — round 11:18 p.m. Saturday.
When deputies arrived on the park, they discovered 15-year-old Ricardo Alonzo Elgueta Fuentes had died from a gunshot wound to the neck and one other teenager had been shot within the leg, sheriff’s officers stated.
It’s not clear if the 2 capturing victims and the suspect knew one another.
