Bengaluru: BBMP to terminate contract with company tasked to fill potholes

After the loss of life of a lady following an accident on a pothole-riddled street Monday, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) officers stated they’re mulling terminating the contract of the pothole filling company, American Highway Know-how and Options (ART&S).

M Lokesh, Chief Engineer, Initiatives, BBMP, stated, “We’ve issued two notices to the corporate looking for a proof as to why the potholes weren’t crammed. In one of many notices, we had warned the corporate of the termination of the contract. It’s clear that the corporate has failed to repair potholes. We’re not pleased with the efficiency of the corporate and the contract can be terminated quickly.”

In June, the Karnataka Excessive Courtroom had directed the BBMP to finalise its contract with ART&S and fill the potholes throughout town.
