Workers of Boulder’s Transportation and Mobility Division labored to take away unofficial and specific indicators throughout Boulder on Tuesday morning mimicked speed-limit indicators.
Crews discovered indicators at twenty eighth Road close to Arapahoe Avenue, at Desk Mesa Drive and South Broadway, at twenty eighth Road and Jay Street, at twenty eighth Road and Palo Parkway, and at twenty eighth Road and the Diagonal Freeway.
A number of the indicators have been specific of their messaging, urging drivers to decelerate and never drive distracted.
Messages together with “Get off your rattling telephone,” “Decelerate (expletive),” “Put the telephone down (expletive),” “Don’t kill any children at this time” and “Sluggish the (expletive) down” have been displayed on the indicators, based on Boulder police spokeswoman Dionne Waugh.
Waugh mentioned the division is investigating the posted indicators as prison tampering and asks that anybody with data name police dispatch’s non-emergency quantity at 303-441-3333 relating to case No. 24-12182.
