As India celebrates Diwali right now, there will probably be no common buying and selling on the Bombay Inventory Change and the Nationwide Inventory Change on Monday. Nevertheless, the markets will open briefly for an hour at 6:15 pm for the muhurat buying and selling session.

In keeping with the Bombay Inventory Change web site, there will probably be no buying and selling right now and on October 26, which occurs to be Diwali Balipratipada. There will probably be no buying and selling on the event of Guru Nanak Jayanti on November 8. In keeping with the BSE web site, buying and selling on the forex derivatives and the rate of interest derivatives can even stay suspended right now as a consequence of Diwali. It’s the second vacation in October after the inventory markets have been closed on Dussehra on October 5.

Speaking about Muhurat buying and selling, the pre-opening session of the inventory markets will probably be from 6 pm to six:08 pm. The Muhurat buying and selling marks the start of a brand new ‘Vikram Samwat’, a historic calendar used within the Indian subcontinent. As per Hindu mythology, ‘muhurat’ is taken into account auspicious to begin one thing new.

On Friday, the Sensex ended 104 factors increased at 59,307 and marked its sixth day of good points. The broader NSE Nifty ended marginally increased by 12.35 factors or 0.07 per cent at 17,576.30.
