Karnataka Caste Census: Vokkaliga legislators from Congress to hold meeting tomorrow | Bangalore News

Amid opposition from dominant caste teams to the ‘Socio-economic and Instructional Survey’, popularly referred to as the Caste Census report, Vokkaliga legislators from the Congress will maintain a dialogue over the difficulty Tuesday. Talking to reporters on Monday, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D Okay Shivakumar – who belongs to the Vokkaliga group – stated {that a} assembly of the legislators from the group will likely be held to gather opinions in regards to the Caste Census report.

The assembly will likely be held at 6 pm on Tuesday night on the official residence of the deputy chief minister.

On Monday, Congress MLC Dinesh Gooligowda wrote to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar to kind a group of consultants or a Cupboard sub-committee of senior ministers to review the contents of the report. The MLC stated that the report has triggered issues amongst numerous communities.
