Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has directed the Bengaluru police to take stringent motion as per regulation within the street rage incident involving an Indian Air Drive (IAF) officer and a name centre employee.
“With regard to the incident, I’ve instructed the Commissioner of Police to take applicable authorized motion towards the people concerned – no matter their place or rank. The state authorities is treating this matter with the utmost seriousness and is dedicated to making sure justice for the sufferer,” Siddaramaiah mentioned on social media on Tuesday.
Whereas IAF officer Wing Commander Shiladitya Bose had claimed to have been attacked by name centre employee Vikas Kumar, CCTV footage from the scene of the incident revealed that Bose too had assaulted Kumar.
Kumar was arrested on Monday after Bose’s spouse, Squadron Chief Madhumita Dutta, filed a grievance, resulting in an assault case being registered towards the decision centre employee. The grievance acknowledged that Bose was attacked as a result of he didn’t converse Kannada.
A counter grievance of assault and try and homicide was filed by the decision centre employee towards the IAF officer, and an FIR was registered by the police on Monday night time. In his grievance, Kumar mentioned Bose claimed to be within the Air Drive and warned him towards choosing a struggle.
CCTV footage from the positioning of the incident, which was accessed by the native police, indicated that Bose assaulted Kumar on the street and the sidewalk after the alleged street rage incident.

The workplace of the defence PRO in Bengaluru, in the meantime, described the incident as “unlucky” and acknowledged that the IAF was cooperating with authorities. “An unlucky incident involving an IAF officer passed off in Bengaluru yesterday.
