Two militants had been killed in a gunfight after the military foiled an infiltration try in Uri sector in north Kashmir Sunday. This comes a day after 26 individuals, largely vacationers, had been killed in a lethal assault in Pahalgam in Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
The navy operation is happening because the troopers are trying to find different attainable infiltrators. On Tuesday, 25 vacationers and a neighborhood pony wallah had been killed in a terror assault in south Kashmir’s Pahalgam vacationer resort.
“Heavy trade of fireside between safety forces and terrorists, two terrorists have been eradicated, infiltration bid foiled by the safety forces within the ongoing Operation. Massive amount of weapons, ammunition and different war-like shops have been recovered from the terrorists,” military’s Valley-based Chinar Corp stated in a put up on X.
The operation started early Wednesday morning after the Military noticed a bunch of militants attempting to infiltrate into the Valley via a stream in Uri sector in north Kashmir’s Baramulla. Military stated that because the troops challenged the infiltrators, they opened hearth which was retaliated by the troopers resulting in a gunfight wherein two militants had been killed.
“On 23 Apr 2025, roughly 2-3 UI (unidentified) terrorists tried to infiltrate via normal space Sarjeevan at Uri Nala, Baramulla, the alert troops on LC (Line of Management) challenged and intercepted them leading to a firefight,” military stated. “(The operation is in progress”.
