A suspect was wounded in a shootout with Craig police Saturday morning after brandishing a gun close to officers, in accordance with a police division information launch.
Police responded at about 8:43 a.m. to a home in east Craig following a report of a male suspect armed with a handgun.
They discovered the suspect “actively brandishing” a firearm, and he and one officer exchanged gunfire, throughout which the suspect was struck and injured.
Police offered emergency medical care to the suspect, who was transported to a hospital.
Craig police didn’t determine the suspect or officer concerned and didn’t instantly reply to questions on expenses confronted by the suspect and whether or not anybody else was wounded within the taking pictures.
