Kashmir Kupwara shooting Update: Civilian shot dead in Kashmir as tensions rise after Pahalgam attack

Ghulam Rasool Magray Shot Useless: Law enforcement officials stated the unidentified gunmen barged into Ghulam Rasool Magray’s home within the Kani Khas space on Saturday evening and opened fireplace at him.

The gunmen fled after the capturing, and Magray was left critically wounded and was rushed to the District Hospital, Handwara. After preliminary remedy on the hospital, he was referred to Shri Maharaja Hari Singh (SMHS) Hospital in Srinagar. Nonetheless, he later succumbed to his accidents.

Officers stated 44-year-old Magray was hit within the stomach and wrist.

Police have initiated investigations into the killing.

The capturing incident occurred whereas the Valley is on excessive safety alert after the Pahalgam terror assault through which 25 vacationers and a neighborhood man have been killed on Tuesday.

Safety forces have launched a large crackdown in opposition to militants throughout the Kashmir Valley within the wake of the assault in Pahalgam. A number of have been detained and homes of alleged militant sympathisers have been raided. During the last 4 days, police have detained over 2,000 folks from throughout the Valley.
