The Bengaluru police arrested an electrician for allegedly importing a video on social media in opposition to Prime Minister Narendra Modi within the wake of Operation Sindoor, officers stated on Tuesday.

The police recognized the accused as Nawaz, 25, a resident of Mangammanapalya. He was remanded in judicial custody and despatched to Bengaluru Central jail.

Officers stated he made the controversial remarks in opposition to PM Modi in a video and uploaded it on his social media account named ‘Public Servant’.

Within the video, which went viral, Nawaz is seen saying, “As we speak, India and Pakistan are at battle. Why hasn’t Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence been bombed but? Taking cognisance of the matter, the Bandepalya police registered a First Data Report (FIR) and tracked down the accused.

Earlier, the Karnataka Police registered an FIR in opposition to a postgraduate pupil for allegedly posting a message in opposition to Operation Sindoor launched by the Indian armed forces in retaliation for the Pahalgam terrorist assault in Kashmir through which 26 folks had been killed.
