Jawaharlal Nehru College (JNU) has suspended its tutorial memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Inonu College in Turkey, citing nationwide safety considerations, college officers confirmed on Wednesday.

The educational partnership, signed on February 3 for a three-year time period, aimed to foster cross-cultural analysis and scholar alternate. Nevertheless, in an announcement posted Wednesday on X, JNU stated: “As a result of Nationwide Safety concerns, the MoU between JNU and Inonu College, Turkiye stands suspended till additional discover. JNU stands with the Nation. #NationFirst.”

Inonu College, positioned in Malatya, entered the settlement as a part of broader efforts to strengthen worldwide tutorial collaboration. The 2 JNU colleges concerned within the MoU are College of Language, Literature and Tradition Research and College of Pc and Programs Sciences.
