The Tripura police arrested a youth for allegedly raping a seven-year-old lady within the West Tripura district, stated the police Sunday. The police stated the crime occurred on Might 9 when the lady visited a neighbour’s home.
The police stated the lady’s mom stated the accused had threatened the minor, warning her to not inform anybody in regards to the crime. Out of concern, the lady remained silent till Might 17, when she confided in her mom after experiencing some bodily issues, the police stated.
“The lady’s mom complained on Might 19 on the West Agartala ladies’s police station, following which we booked the accused and arrested him. The rape accused was produced earlier than the courtroom on Saturday,” stated a police officer.
Per week in the past, six youths, amongst whom 4 had been minors, had been arrested for his or her alleged involvement within the gang rape of a minor lady within the South Tripura district.
