The Karnataka police on Monday booked BJP MLC N Ravikumar over his remarks that Kalaburagi Deputy Commissioner Fouzia Taranum “may need come from Pakistan” after they drew robust condemnation, together with from the IAS officers’ affiliation.

In movies that went viral on social media on Sunday night and Monday morning, Ravikumar was heard purportedly saying that the deputy commissioner’s workplace at Kalaburagi had misplaced its independence. “The DC madam is listening to what they (the Kharge household) say. The BJP chief has been booked beneath sections 197, 224, 299, 302, 351 and 353 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, associated to assertions prejudicial to nationwide integration, menace of harm to public servant, and outraging non secular emotions, amongst others.
