Driver murder in Dakshina Kannada: 3 in police net, more arrests likely | Bangalore News

The Karnataka Police on Thursday arrested three folks for the current homicide of a driver within the Dakshina Kannada district.

The three suspects have been recognized as Deepak Poojary, 21, Prithviraj, 21, and Chiranthan, 19 – all residents of Bantwal taluk in Dakshina Kannada district. A police officer stated the three accused have been taken into police custody for additional questioning. He added that efforts had been underway to nab others linked to the homicide.

On Tuesday, driver Abdul Rahiman, 32, a resident of Kolthamajalu in Bantwal taluk, was murdered whereas unloading sand close to a buyer’s home, based on the First Info Report (FIR) registered by the Bantwal Rural police. His good friend and co-worker Kalandar Shafi, 29, who was severely injured within the assault, has been present process remedy on the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital.

A police officer stated, “We’re but to establish the rationale behind the killing of Rahiman, and will probably be revealed because the investigations unfold.”

A case has been registered underneath sections 103 (homicide), 109 (try and homicide), 118 (1) (voluntarily inflicting harm), 118 (2) (voluntarily inflicting grievous harm), 190 (illegal meeting), 191 (1) (power or violence is utilized by an illegal meeting), 191 (2) (rioting) and 191 (3) (rioting through the use of lethal weapons) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

Earlier within the day, House Minister Parameshwara stated the federal government had taken notice of the homicide and wouldn’t spare anybody accountable for the crime.

His assertion got here on a day when the federal government ordered the Anti-Communal Power to take care of communal incidents. Parameshwara stated that Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Shivamogga have been listed as communally delicate districts, and the brand new Power will likely be deployed within the area.
