Prime Minister Narendra Modi Monday stated mutual belief in democracy and rule of legislation type robust basis of India’s ties with Cyprus.
“We respect one another’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Our ties are neither made by circumstances, nor restricted,” added Modi, who’s the primary Indian premier to go to the Mediterranean island nation in 23 years.
Modi additionally thanked the Cyprus for its help to India’s battle towards cross-border terrorism. “To provide strategic route to our ties, we are going to put together stable roadmap for subsequent 5 years,” he added.
Modi reached Cyprus on Sunday and is about to journey to Kananaskis in Canada to take part in G7 Summit on Mondayand Tuesday. This might be the PM’s sixth consecutive participation within the G7 Summit.
