A day after the physique of a lady was discovered together with her throat slit in a forest space of Goa on Monday morning, police have arrested a 22-year-old man from Bengaluru.

A homicide case was registered on the Ponda police station, and a probe is underway. Police stated against the law scene examination was carried out with the assistance of a forensic science laboratory staff, canine squad and technical specialists.
The homicide sufferer, a 22-year-old from Bengaluru, labored as non-teaching employees at a college. The accused, Sanjay Kevin M, was unemployed.

Goa Police managed to hint him after retrieving a vital piece of proof — a bus ticket — from the sufferer’s purse on the crime scene. Police then checked CCTV footage from the bus stand and linked the dots. A police staff from Ponda sub-division, with the help of the native police in Hubballi, apprehended the accused early on Tuesday morning.
South Goa SP Tikam Singh Verma described the case as a “blind homicide case” that was solved inside 24 hours.
In a press assertion, police stated the accused “admitted to having an argument together with her throughout their journey to Goa”.
“He murdered her by slitting her throat with a knife after deboarding the bus at Pilliem. The motive seems to be associated to non-public relationship points,” the police assertion stated.
