Returning from tuition, teenager electrocuted on waterlogged Chennai road | India News

A 17-year-old boy died of electrocution on Wednesday night time whereas strolling via a waterlogged avenue in Thiruvottiyur, a northern suburb in Chennai, triggering protests from native residents who accused the electrical energy division of negligence.

The sufferer, recognized as Nafael, a Class 12 pupil residing on Thangal Birbayilwan Dharga Road, was returning dwelling after tuition when he stepped into stagnant rainwater close to the Thangal Peer Pailwan Dargah and collapsed. In response to eyewitnesses, locals used wood logs and plastic pipes to maneuver him out of the water. The boy was then taken to Stanley Authorities Hospital, the place docs declared him lifeless.
