Bengaluru-bound IndiGo flight declares emergency at Delhi airport | Bengaluru

An IndiGo airplane declared emergency on the Delhi airport on Friday after one in every of its engines caught fireplace on the time of taxiing, in response to sources. The Bengaluru-bound A320 plane, which had 184 individuals on board, later returned to the bay. The individuals had been safely deboarded, the sources stated.

A video on Twitter confirmed one of many airplane’s engines on fireplace and sparks flying on the time of taxiing on the airport.The incident passed off at round 10 pm.

In an announcement, IndiGo stated the plane working flight 6E2131 from Delhi to Bengaluru skilled an engine stall throughout take off roll.

“The take off was aborted and the plane safely returned to the bay. All passengers are being accommodated on an alternate plane,” the assertion stated.

Delhi police officers stated the management room on the airport obtained a name from the CISF management room relating to fireplace in engine of the IndiGo airplane.

The airplane had 177 passengers and 7 crew members. Later, passengers had been safely deboarded, they added.

In line with the sources, the pilot of a SpiceJet airplane that was behind the IndiGo plane within the line up whereas taxiing alerted the Air Visitors Controller in regards to the fireplace within the engine.
