Picnic turns tragic as 3 nursing students drown in Karnataka’s Mandya | Bangalore News

Three nursing college students of the Mandya Institute of Medical Sciences (MIMS) who had been on a picnic drowned within the backwaters of the Krishnaraja Sagar (KRS) dam in Meenakshipura in Karnataka’s Mandya district on Sunday.

The police recognized the deceased as Prashanth, 22, Krishna, 21, and Siddesh, 22. Prashanth was from Periyapatna taluk in Mysuru district, Krishna from Haveri district, and Siddesh from Chamarajanagar district.

The incident passed off round 1.30 pm, when all three college students entered the water unaware of its depth, which had elevated following rain in Kodagu and the Cauvery basin. And the scholars didn’t know tips on how to swim, in line with a police officer.

The scholars’ our bodies had been recovered with the assistance of Fireplace and Emergency Companies personnel and native skilled swimmers, in line with personnel from the Yelawala police station in Mysuru, the place a case has been registered.

In one other incident, a 35-year-old man died whereas taking a photograph close to Talasi Abbi Falls in Shivamogga district on Sunday.

The police recognized the person as Ramesh, a resident of Nagarabhavi in Bengaluru who labored in a non-public agency as supervisor. He was visiting the falls with 4 of his pals.

A police officer mentioned the incident passed off whereas Ramesh was posing for a photograph and video, which one among his pals was capturing. He fell owing to the pressure of water and drowned immediately. Your entire act was recorded on a cell phone, and the video went viral on-line.

The Hosanagara police in Shivamogga have registered a case.
