Kerala well being minister Veena George on Sunday condemned the assault on a physician of the overall hospital in Thiruvananthapuram by a affected person and stated it was unacceptable.
The minister spoke to the physician and warranted her all assist.
Thiruvananthapuram native, Wasir (25), was arrested on Saturday by the Cantonment police right here after he allegedly assaulted an obligation physician.
Police stated the accused attacked the physician after she requested him to get admitted after a prognosis.
“We had arrested him yesterday and the courtroom at this time remanded him to judicial custody. The physician was assaulted and suffered a damaged arm,” Cantonment police advised PTI.
George stated the physician was assaulted whereas she was on obligation on the OP.
“Such assaults towards well being employees can’t be accepted. This may have an effect on their morale. The federal government will take stern motion towards the offender,” the minister stated in a press release.
In the meantime, the Kerala Authorities Medical Officer’s Affiliation (KGMOA) strongly condemned the incident and stated a protest can be organised in entrance of the hospital on Monday.
KGMOA stated the physician was assaulted with none provocation and sought safety for the medical doctors and hospitals.
