ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — The USA Naval Academy in Maryland was placed on lockdown Thursday and a constructing was cleared in response to stories of threats made to the miliary college, and one individual was injured, officers mentioned.
The individual injured was airlifted to a hospital and was in secure situation, Lt. Naweed Lemar, the spokesperson for the bottom that hosts the academy, mentioned in an announcement.
Naval Assist Exercise Annapolis safety and native legislation enforcement had responded to the stories of suspicious exercise, Lemar mentioned. Extra particulars concerning the menace and the way the individual was injured weren’t instantly obtainable.
