Karnataka Govt forms panel to prepare outline for OTT platform for Kannada films | Bangalore News

Following the funds announcement about creating an over-the-top (OTT) platform to advertise Kannada films, the Karnataka Authorities has issued an order forming a panel to arrange an overview for it. The order, issued on September 20, was launched by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s workplace on Thursday.

The ten-member panel shall be headed by the commissioner of the Division of Data and Public Relations. Chairman of Sri Kanteerava Studios Restricted Mehboob Pasha, actor-music director and chairman of Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy Sadhu Kokila, movie producers Okay P Srikanth and Rockline Venkatesh, and actor Duniya Vijay are among the many members appointed by the Authorities.

The panel will compile a complete report on growing an OTT platform for Kannada movies and submit a report back to the state authorities, the order mentioned.

The chief minister’s workplace additionally launched two different orders associated to the promotion of Kannada movies. The primary was about compiling a draft coverage according to a authorities resolution to contemplate the movie business on par with different industries. A 12-member panel fashioned for the aim is tasked with finding out movie business insurance policies carried out by the Centre and varied state governments.

The opposite order associated to the formation of a 10-member panel tasked with preserving Kannada movies that depict the social, historic, and cultural values of Karnataka in digital and non-digital codecs. The panel will journey to Mumbai, Kerala, and different locations to satisfy specialists. Within the funds, the Karnataka Authorities had put aside Rs 3 crore for the movie repository.
