Delhi Waqf Board case: AAP’s Amanatullah Khan sent to 14-day judicial custody

A Delhi courtroom on Monday despatched ruling Aam Aadmi Celebration (AAP) lawmaker Amanatullah Khan to 14-days judicial custody in connection to alleged irregularities within the functioning of the Delhi Waqf Board whereas posting his bail listening to for Tuesday.

On September 16, the ACB arrested Khan after raiding 4 areas in Delhi’s Zakia Nagar, Balta Home, and Jamia Nagar. ACB stated it recovered round ₹24 lakh in money and two unlicensed weapons and ammunition throughout the raids.

The company claimed Khan paid salaries of ₹3.2 crore between March 2019 to March 2021 to 32 workers of the Board illegally.
