A complete herd of first responders labored collectively over the weekend to rescue a horse trapped in a ditch between Ault and Pierce.
After each the Ault-Pierce and Eaton Hearth Departments have been unable to raise the horse out of the ditch with tractor straps, an animal management officer contacted a veterinarian to sedate the horse, based on a Weld County Sheriff’s Workplace information launch.
As soon as the horse was sedated, Windsor Severance Hearth introduced massive animal rescue gear and lifted the horse out utilizing webbing and a tractor, the discharge states.
The horse was not injured and was reunited with its proprietor.
