Indiana state Sen. Chris Garten (R) is dealing with backlash after he kicked off Christmas Day by posting a weird collection of AI-generated photos displaying him beat up Santa Claus in entrance of the state capitol constructing.
The mock photos depict a sleeveless Garten surrounded by a crowd of cheering supporters as he kicks, punches and pulls off a physique splash on Kris Kringle in wrestler-like style.
“Once you discover out the North Pole is making an attempt to deliver extra bureaucratic overreach & unfunded mandates down the chimney disguised as ‘Christmas cheer.’ Not on my watch. We The Individuals run Indiana, not the bureaucrats,” wrote the Indiana State Senate majority ground chief in a put up to his X account.
“Take it again to the North Pole massive man. Merry Christmas, Hoosiers! 🇺🇸🎅🏻🥊.”
Garten later defended himself and claimed he was hit with “a number of intolerance, swearing, and outrage” over photos he “had a blast designing” along with his kids.
“A few of you clowns are simply unbearable. Hopefully your negativity stays within the feedback and never directed at your households,” he wrote on X. “Merry Christmas, snowflakes!”
The Republican’s fake St. Nick takedown nonetheless led critics on the platform to place him on the naughty checklist.
