HAMMONTON, N.J. (AP) — One individual is lifeless and one other has been left critically injured after two helicopters crashed in a southern New Jersey city.
Police in Hammonton, New Jersey responded to a report of an aviation crash at about 11:25 a.m. on Sunday, in response to Denise Mazzeo, the city’s deputy municipal clerk.
Police and hearth crews extinguished flames that engulfed one helicopter, Mazzeo mentioned in an announcement to The Related Press.
One individual was killed and one other was transported to a close-by hospital with life-threatening accidents. Video from the scene confirmed a helicopter spinning quickly to the bottom.
The Federal Aviation Administration and Nationwide Transportation Security Board are investigating.
