A generator hearth despatched up a giant plume of smoke in downtown Denver Saturday morning, briefly alarming folks close by.
The generator caught hearth at abut 9:51 a.m. Saturday at 1560 Blake Road, in accordance with Denver Hearth Division spokesman JD Chism.

“It was a generator hearth, a constructing was doing their regular startups on it and it caught hearth,” Chism stated. “…”The generator was malfunctioning, and oftentimes when these mills begin they’ve a smoke plume, as a result of they’re reserve mills. They’re often there for backup energy.”
The several-story tall smoke plume brought on by the hearth prompted a number of bystanders to inquire with Denver police, however Chism stated the hearth was short-lived.
