Colorado Bureau of Investigation officers on Friday confirmed the 2005 demise of famend creator and journalist Hunter S. Thompson was a results of suicide, nearly six months after the state began reviewing the case by request of the Pitkin County Sheriff’s Workplace.
State investigators began reviewing the case after Thompson’s widow, Anita Thompson, reached out to Pitkin County Sheriff Michael Buglione with considerations about her late husband’s demise at their dwelling, Owl Farm, in Woody Creek on Feb. 20, 2005.

“Whereas we’ve at all times believed the unique investigation was performed correctly, we acknowledged the significance of an impartial overview for the Thompson household,” Buglione stated in an announcement. “CBI’s conclusions reaffirm the unique findings and, we hope, present reassurance and readability.”
