South India’s first Vande Bharat successfully completes trial run

The trial run of south India’s first Vande Bharat Specific was efficiently performed from Chennai to Mysuru through Bengaluru Monday.

The practice, in keeping with the schedule, began at 5.50 am from the Dr MGR Chennai Central railway station and reached Mysuru at 12.30 pm with stoppages at Katpadi and KSR Bengaluru, stated railway officers.

Based on the South Western Railways (SWR), the trial run was performed by familiarising the practice working crew with the working of the practice set, route, indicators and different security parameters like degree crossing gates, block working, and so on. The trial was additionally geared toward acquainting the onboard coach upkeep crew concerning the practice interiors and varied technical options of the practice.

Within the return path, the practice departed from the Mysuru Junction railway station at 1.05 pm and reached the Dr MGR Chennai Central station at 7.35 pm.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the practice from Bengaluru on November 11. The practice, which is able to run barely sooner than the present Shatabdi Specific, will reduce down the run time by a small margin. The practice, which has the flexibility to the touch a pace of 160-180km/hr, will run at a pace of 75-77km/hr on this route.

With restrictions of pace as a result of varied causes, the Vande Bharat Specific in south India would be the slowest within the nation.
