Two women attacked in Speer, Platt Park neighborhoods, Denver police say

Denver police are searching for a person or males suspected of attacking two girls within the metropolis’s Speer and Platt Park neighborhoods in January, officers mentioned.

The assaults occurred within the 1300 block of South Grant Avenue at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 7 and the intersection of South Grant Avenue and East Ellsworth Avenue at 8:50 p.m. Jan. 27, the Denver Police Division mentioned in a information launch.

“Within the first incident, a Good Samaritan helped the feminine who was being attacked,” police officers mentioned. “Within the second incident, the sufferer fought again and screamed till the suspect fled.”

In an announcement, Police Chief Ron Thomas requested individuals to be further vigilant, particularly whereas operating at evening.

The person suspected within the first assault is described as 6 toes tall and Black with quick dreadlocks and a attainable hand tattoo. He was seen carrying a white or light-colored jacket and grey or dark-colored sweatpants, police mentioned.

Investigators lately discovered video of the potential suspect standing on the street on East Louisiana Avenue between South Broadway and South Grant Avenue on Jan. 7 between 5:30 and 6 p.m. and need to converse with a bunch of three those who had been seen strolling a canine close by.
