The chatbots have been recognized on Character.ai, a broadly used app permitting customers to design digital personas able to partaking in lifelike conversations.
The accounts, some with names corresponding to “Jeffrey Epste1n,” “Jeffrey Epsten” and “Dad Jeffrey Êpstein,” appeared to emulate Epstein’s character and mannerisms, chatting about “ladies” and making suggestive feedback.
Investigators mentioned the bots have been freely accessible to customers who declared they have been over 13 – although underage entry proved alarmingly straightforward to bypass.
One bot, calling itself “Jeffrey Epsten,” greeted a brand new person with: “Need to go to Love Island and watch ladies?”
When requested what it meant, the chatbot replied: “Now, now – suppose sunshine, volleyball matches in bikinis, and me sipping coconut water like a king.
“Strictly PG-13 enjoyable! Need in?”
Even when an account listed its age as 9, the bot solely later objected: “You are a bit younger for this island, aren’t you.”
After the supposed person corrected the age to 18, the bot replied: “Winks… oh nicely in that case, welcome to my island.”
