Karnataka authorities stirred controversy from the Opposition after it mentioned the state has determined to color its authorities faculties in ‘saffron’ color.
On Monday, chief minister Basavaraj Bommai, together with training minister BC Nagesh, launched the ‘Viveka’ scheme on the event of Youngsters’s Day in Kalaburagi and mentioned hundreds of faculty lecture rooms shall be constructed beneath the scheme which shall be painted saffron in color, a transfer which he defended.
The BJP-led authorities is planning to assemble over 10,000 lecture rooms in authorities faculties throughout the state, named after Swami Vivekananda at a value of ₹992 crore.

Bommai, talking after garlanding the statue of former Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru in entrance of Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru on Monday, requested the Opposition to not politicise all the pieces.

The training minister too defended the transfer saying that it’s based mostly on the architect’s suggestions.

Hitting out Karnataka authorities’s resolution, the Congress demanded lecture rooms and faculty infrastructure be painted within the colors of the nationwide flag.
