A complete of 30 sambar deer and 40 chital deer can be translocated from Mysuru Zoo to Kali Tiger Reserve in Uttara Kannada district, the Indian Specific reported. The choice was taken because the deer and chital are in surplus and shifting them to Kali Tiger Reserve would enhance the prey of untamed animals.
In accordance with the report, the central Zoo authority has granted permission to the Mysuru zoo authority to translocate the animals. The transfer can also be anticipated to scale back the man-animal battle within the state. “The wild animals want prey throughout the sanctuary and this transfer would assist wild animals like tigers to not come past the sanctuary for meals. We’re shifting 30 Sambar deer and 40 Chital deer from the Mysuru zoo to Kali Tiger Reserve. We imagine that this would scale back the human-animal battle within the area,” a forest official was quoted as saying.
As per central zoo authority pointers, a zoo can have as much as 40 deer and deer in Mysuru are already in surplus, stated the report. The translocation of the animals can be finished in phases.
