A ruling BJP MLC in Karnataka has sought to introduce a personal member’s Invoice that’s mentioned to be geared toward banning halal certification, throughout the ongoing winter session of the state legislature right here. N Ravikumar, who can be state BJP common secretary, had written to Chairman of the Legislative Council, looking for permission to introduce a Invoice to amend the Meals Security and Requirements Act, 2006, to ban any non-public particular person or organisation from issuing certification of meals.
The December 12 letter states that the Invoice seeks to ban any non-public organisation or a person from promoting with a declare {that a} spiritual establishment has licensed the meals product.
