Karnataka to regularise services of 30,867 civic workers soon: Bommai | Bengaluru

Karnataka chief minister Basavaraj Bommai on Wednesday stated companies of the remaining 30,867 “Pourakarmikas” (civic staff) working within the State might be regularised within the coming days.

He additionally felt that they need to be addressed as “Poura Naukaras” and never “Pourakarmikas”, stating that calling them by a unique identify will give them a way of self-respect and dignity.

“There are 42,000 civic staff working within the State, of which the companies of 11,133 individuals have been regularised. The companies of others might be regularised within the coming days,” Bommai stated.

Mentioning that the chance allowance of ₹2,000 has been introduced for the civic staff within the price range, he additional stated, the prevailing regulation has been modified to guard their curiosity and to make them dwell with a way of dignity and self-reliance.
