Former Chief Minister and Chief of Opposition Siddaramaiah on Thursday accused the Basavaraj Bommai-led BJP authorities in Karnataka of being concerned in “corrupt” practices and stated it’s a “300 per cent fee authorities”.

“There are a lot of initiatives like Hemavathi, Narayanapura amongst others which can be estimated to be value round 800 crore, which the federal government has sanctioned with none work in progress. Greater than ₹2,000 crore have been granted with none work in progress,” Siddaramaiah stated.

Siddaramaiah alleged that corruption is “prevailing in all departments” of the state.

“That is why they (the federal government) usually are not permitting us to debate something, even the Speaker is of their help. Contractors affiliation chief Kempanna was arrested for blowing the whistle. Authorities has no real interest in discussing, they’re working away from the dialogue,” Siddaramaiah stated.

Siddaramaiah stated that the federal government claims to have recovered ₹42 crore.

“Why did they arrest him? If corruption did not occur?” Siddaramaiah questioned the state authorities.

Whereas highlighting farmers’ sufferings, Siddaramaiah stated, “No dialogue is being held on farmers’ points. Flood-borne illnesses have made farmers undergo quite a bit”.

On the Mahadayi River Dispute, Siddaramaiah stated, “We did all the things up to now, they promised that they did all the things. Now they’re awake after we introduced a protest in opposition to the federal government”.

“Now they’re patting their very own again. As per my data, they’re petrified of our protests and that is why they cleared the Detailed Initiatives Report (DPR) within the Mahadayi concern,” Siddaramaiah claimed.

DK Shivakumar, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president stated they’re organising protests in opposition to the federal government in Vijayapur and different locations from December 30.

“That is why the federal government is in a rush, saying that permission has been given to a Detailed Initiatives Report within the Mahadayi concern,” Shivkumar stated.
